Parc Vallès establishments have pictograms to promote understanding by many people

Most of the 43 establishments in Parc Vallès have a drawing like this at the entrance and in a visible place since this Monday. Defines the type of store it is: a restaurant, a hairdresser or a shoe store, for example.

First cycle secondary students from the Heura special education center and 5th grade primary students from the Joaquima de Vedruna school have visited 43 establishments to place the pictograms designed by Arasaac at the entrances to the premises.

These illustrations are called pictograms. They are an intuitive and simple language especially indicated for people with autism spectrum disorder, but they also help older people, with mental illnesses or who do not know the language or cannot read. That is, they improve the cognitive accessibility of many people.
